This is an ongoing opportunity.
Would you like to help reduce pet overpopulation? Volunteer for Best Friends of Pets’ Spay/Neuter Assistance Program to help pets, their owners and our community.
Volunteer for 10 hours or less from the comfort of your home to check our voicemail for spay/neuter application requests and mail packets to pet owners. Volunteers rotate weeks based on how many volunteers we have, and each volunteer will typically have a shift every 4 to 8 weeks.
Training and all supplies are provided. Volunteers must be 21 or older, use Excel and Word, have access to a computer and printer, enjoy talking to people on the phone and be able to drive to a mailbox.
Best Friends of Pets strives to reduce pet overpopulation and keep pets in their homes by providing affordable spaying, neutering and pet ID tags. Spaying and neutering not only prevents unplanned litters of puppies and kittens but also reduces or eliminates many behavior and health issues that often make pet parents give up their cats and dogs.
